Mojito (Garlic Sauce) x Salad Dressing

If you came here for the drink, Mojito, I’m sorry for the misleading title haha. This recipe is the next best thing. For Puerto Ricans, the original mojito is garlic sauce. Alongside sofrito, we use mojito for pretty much everything that requires seasoning, you just can’t go wrong with a pinch of garlic.

I wanted to group the mojito with the salad dressing because like thegarlic sauce, the dressing can be used for seasoning. Since my parents still occasionally eat meat, they use the dressing as a marinade. We mostly use it for tostones & salad.

The dressing is like crack, for real. Over the past years, my mom has perfected it! Anytime she has a potluck at work, she is forced to bring some! Even when she comes to visit us, I make sure she has everything she needs to make a big bottle. Ray has also made it very clear that he likes the salad dressing bottle to be filled every week for our salads and bowls. (spoiled, to say the least)

Anyway, there is nothing difficult about the recipes. If you are planning to do both, do the mojito first, since you’ll need it for the dressing. Just add all the ingredients together and store in the refrigerator. Save yourself some time and buy peeled garlic, nobody got time for that!
